Maybe I’m just old fashioned, or maybe I’m just paranoid, but when the press starts fabricating the truth in order to ellicit an emotional response, I get very concerned for our culture.

Why is it that when Mr. O’Reilly, of Fox News’s Factor fame, does smashingly well in the ratings

Fear Factor does well in ratings, and that spurns critics and medialogues alike to proclaim the dumbing-down of America.

Why is it, then, that we do not make similar statements when folks like O’Reilly and Limbaugh do well? Isn’t the success of the fascist right also akin to high rubber-necking at car wrecks?
