I know it was bound to happen again, but when an editor sends you a hold request and then the publisher asks you to edit a story to better suit publication, it gives you a certain confidence in your work’s quality. I’m not saying the work wasn’t quality, because I think it’s pretty good. But I’m disappointed and a little sad. Becky is my rock – she helps me get through these little setbacks more than she knows. But a writer’s will has to come from his insides, right? Mine isn’t feeling so hot. Cheer me up, interweb.
